Prospects for the development of the department Germanic languages and methods of their teaching, developed in accordance with the federal state educational standard of higher vocational education, include the main areas of activity, research work, which is currently being carried out by young teachers who are graduate students and applicants.

One of the obligatory conditions for increasing the efficiency of the organization of the educational process in the university in the discipline "Foreign language" is the replenishment of the teaching and methodological room of foreign languages. 1. Participation in the development and improvement of educational programs for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies.

In connection with the beginning of the active phase of the implementation of the Program of the Government of the Russian Federation "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation", adopted on July 27, 2017 No. 1632-r (direction "Personnel and Education"), the demand for specialists in the field of information technology development and management is increasing. In this regard, the initiatives of the department "Business Informatics" to expand its presence in the market of educational services in the direction of "Business Informatics" are obvious:

In connection with the latest legislative requirements for the organization of the educational process at the university and new directions for the development of SPbGIKIT, the Department of Foreign Languages ​​needs to ensure the training of qualified personnel for the film industry with knowledge and competencies in the field of foreign language professional and intercultural communication. In addition, the Department of Foreign Languages ​​should create a unified educational platform in the field of teaching foreign languages, providing continuity and conditions for lifelong learning for students of all levels of professional education.
In the context of the integration of the Russian Federation into the world community, an urgent task of modern high school concept development becomes language education, focused on the knowledge of a specialist in one or two foreign languages.
Especially acute now is the issue of language training for film industry specialists, that is, specialists designed to create and develop the domestic film industry. In addition, in order to implement the principle of "lifelong education", the department needs to provide opportunities for the implementation additional programs training, including for second-level specialists.
