These are flares and coronal ejections of solar energy, which, reaching the Earth's surface, perturb its magnetosphere. All this leads to magnetic storms of various strengths, which people follow almost the same as the forecast of the Hydrometeorological Center. The activity of the Sun and changes in space weather are constantly monitored by solar space telescopes.

-During the 11-year cycle of solar activity on Earth, on average, there are four to six very strong magnetic storms(one storm in two or three years), said Lyudmila Koshman.
