Description: This diagnostic test questionnaire is designed to determine the level of loneliness, how much a person feels lonely.

The phenomenon of loneliness lies in the fact that the feeling of loneliness is perceived as an acutely subjective, highly individual and often unique experience. One of the most distinctive features of loneliness is a specific feeling of complete immersion in oneself. The feeling of loneliness is not like other experiences, it is holistic, covering absolutely everything.

Loneliness is a complex feeling that binds together something lost. inner world personality. The feeling of loneliness prompts a person to vigorously search for means of confronting this "illness", because loneliness acts against the basic expectations and hopes of a person and, thus, is perceived as highly undesirable.

There is a cognitive moment in the feeling of loneliness. Loneliness is a sign of one's own self; it tells the person "who I am in this life." Loneliness is a special form of self-perception, an acute form of self-consciousness.

Instruction.

You are presented with a series of statements. Consider each one in turn and rate in terms of frequency of their occurrence in relation to your life using four response options: "often", "sometimes", "rarely", "never". Mark the selected option with a "+" sign.

Processing, the key to the loneliness test.

The number of each answer is counted.

The sum of the answers "often" is multiplied by 3,
"sometimes" - by 2,
"rarely" - by 1
and "never" to 0.
The results obtained are added up. The maximum possible indicator of loneliness is 60 points.

Processing of received data. The points put down by the test take certain numerical values, which are indicated in the tables.

According to the values indicated in the table. 2.14 and 2.15, the well-being score is replaced by a diagnostic coefficient. Following the recoding, the algebraic sum (taking into account the positive or negative sign) of the diagnostic coefficients for each scale is calculated separately.

The algebraic sum of the coefficients greater than +1.28 indicates a good mental state. A sum less than -1.28 indicates severe mental tension, anxiety, and depression. Intermediate values (from -1.28 to +1.28) indicate data uncertainty. Typically, boundary values are characterized by coefficients ranging from -5.6 to -1.28.

The borderline state of anxiety is manifested in a decrease in the threshold of excitation in relation to various stimuli, in indecision, impatience, and inconsistency in action. The neurotic reaction of anxiety as concern for one's own health and for the health of one's loved ones in communication with people is manifested in the fact that a person behaves insecurely.

Depression manifests itself in neurotic reactions - in a weakening of the tone of life and energy, in a decrease in the background of mood, narrowing and limiting contacts with others, a feeling of joylessness and loneliness.

The method of differential diagnosis of depressive states by V. Zung (adapted by T. I. Balashova)

The questionnaire was developed for the differential diagnosis of depressive states and conditions close to depression, for screening diagnostics in mass studies and for the purposes of preliminary, pre-hospital diagnostics.

Full testing with processing takes 20-30 minutes. The subject notes the answers on the form.

The level of depression (UD) is calculated by the formula:

where S is the sum of the crossed out numbers to the “direct” statements No. 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 19; Z is the sum of the numbers “reverse” to the crossed out statements No. 2, 5, 6, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20. For example: the number 1 is crossed out for statement No. 2, we put 4 points in the total; statement No. 5 has the answer 2 crossed out, we put 3 points in the total; for statement No. 6, the answer 3 is crossed out - we put 2 points in the amount; for statement No. 11, the answer 4 is crossed out - we add one point to the total, etc.

As a result, we get UD, which ranges from 20 to 80 points.

If the UD is not more than 50 points, then a state without depression is diagnosed. If the UD is more than 50 points and less than 59, then a conclusion is made about mild depression of a situational or neurotic origin. With an UD score of 60 to 69 points, a subdepressive state or masked depression is diagnosed. A true depressive state is diagnosed when the UD is more than 70 points.

Instruction. “Read carefully each of the following sentences and cross out the appropriate number on the right, depending on how you feel lately. Don't think about the questions for a long time, because there are no right or wrong answers.

Indicators of the level of subjective feeling of loneliness according to the method of Ferguson, Russell

Junior age group

Senior age group

The study revealed that indicators of feelings of loneliness in men in both age groups correspond to low level, and for women - the average level. However, the differences between men and women are not statistically significant. There is also a noticeable trend in men towards a decrease in average indicators of feelings of loneliness from younger to older age. Perhaps, over the years, people get used to their life situation, the severity of the experience decreases and there is an acceptance of everything that has been lived and is being lived at the moment.

A particularly high level of loneliness was found in persons of the older age group living in a boarding school. The indicators in this group correspond to the average level of feeling of loneliness on the Russell-Fergusson scale. For men, it is 22.6 points (for comparison: for men living in families - 10.1 points). For women living in a boarding school - 33 points, for those living in families - 13.4 points.

The technique was created by D. Russell and M. Fergusson and is aimed at identifying the experience of loneliness.

Consider each one in turn and rate the frequency of their occurrence in your life using four response options: “often” (3 points), “sometimes” (2 points), “rarely” (1 point), “never” (0 points). points). Instruction. People, openly or subconsciously, yearn for tenderness, feel the need v it, and it seems to them that they themselves are able to bestow it. but

3 points are scored for answers: 1a, 2a, For, 5a, 6a, 9a, 10a, 12a, 17a, 186, 19d.

2 points are scored for answers: 4a, 7a, 136, 19c, 20a.

1 point is given for answers: 8a, 11a, 14a, 15a, 16c, 18c, 196, 20c.

conclusions

If less than 20 points came out. You are not quite as gentle as you think you are. True, you would like those people who surround you to be affectionate with you, but you yourself do not want to show warm feelings. For this, you are simply cold, too sober, too often guided by reason, or maybe you just don’t know how to show feelings? That's probably how you were raised. After all, the child must first

learn tenderness in order to learn it later. And only then will he be able to bestow it on others.

If scored 20-35 points. If you were given grades for tenderness, then you would get three plus, and even more, provided that you could overcome fear and embarrassment in expressing your feelings.

If more than 35 points You are a person full of tenderness, unable to hide your heartfelt feelings. You don’t see shortcomings in others, you have easier relationships with people.

If you score over 45 on this test, then you are the perfect mother or the perfect father.

Methodology "Self-assessment emotional states^

The technique was proposed by G. Eysenck. In the proposed version, two of the four scales related to emotional states are taken.

Instruction. We offer you a description of various mental states. If this state is very suitable for you, then 2 points are put for the answer; if suitable, but not very, then 1 point, if not suitable at all, then 0 points.

The indicator of situational (reactive) anxiety is 63, which indicates high level situational anxiety. In the behavioral aspect, this is characterized by: high anxiety, nervousness, tension. May lead to impaired attention, fine coordination.

The indicator of personal anxiety is 55, which indicates a high level of personal anxiety. In the behavioral aspect, this is characterized by: a stable tendency to perceive a wide range of situations as threatening, to respond to such situations with a state of anxiety. Perhaps a direct correlation with the presence of a neurotic conflict, with emotional and neurotic breakdowns and psychosomatic diseases.
